» samrawlins - The OC, Laguna Beach I agree with Carmen. Though I don't enjoy The OC either, I can appreciate their musical selection. The same holds for MTV's Laguna Beach (possibly because LB was developed as an OC spinoff). Last.FM has a Laguna Beach tag ( http://www.last.fm/tag/music%20from%20la... ). AllTheLyrics feature a thread ( http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/topic-... ). MTV's site also features an Urge link with music from the show. I think the reason these shows are using independent music is that it is trendy to do so. These are shows about teenagers and their love problems. Indie, Acoustic, and Emo are all categories (not so much genres) that small local bands love to squeeze into. I may just go buy one of these soundtracks. -- posted by samrawlins
