» AaronFTW - I look forward to the future of this page.

I love Indie music! No, I'm not a guy totally against these big labels or anything like that, I do believe there is a lot of talent there but, I really feel that we are in a world of limitless creativity. The society we have here in the US almost creates an environment in which a lot of musical talent can be realized, developed, and exploited but, at the same time, there is SO much talent out there that there is so much competition.

Unfortunately, some remarkable artists get passed by. But, there's more to it than that. When I think of Indie music, it's not just about an underdog group that has a good sound and is hoping to one day get noticed by larger crowds and maybe sign a big record label(Though most want the recognition and the success). But, there's a large part of the Indie crowd that writes music that wouldn't want a large label to tamper with it, which could very well happen, and that could possibly give them the desire to stay independant. so, they sign with a smaller label. They may not have the funds and advertising but, the integrity of the music, as to how they feel it should be, stays in tact. They still can encounter much success this way.

Anyway, I'll keep up on this page. Some of my favorite groups are Indie. I like the way you put it Carmen Lyons. Later!
